We are now nearing the end of August and this is the first time in about 7 weeks that I’ve been able to strip off and enjoy the sun without feeling cold.
Let’s hope we have an Indian summer and September ends up being a scorcher.
These are probably the only naked pics I’ll post this year, just haven’t been to the right places or had the right weather to be naked!
What a great year 2022 was for being naked. The weather over the summer was fantastic, but it also started a lot earlier. March was the first opportunity to get out and be naked.
We visited Rose Cottage in North Devon for my 50th birthday with our dear friends Hazel & John , who used to be members of Haslemere Sun Club many years ago.
We also got to visit Acorns Naturist Retreat, again in North Devon at the end of July to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Little did we know then that this would be the last time we would visit them as they have now closed and sold up.
The club also got to celebrate its 75th anniversary this year, which was a fantastic event. In fact it was one of the best attended socials ever with a live band on the Sunday night.
We also got to house sit for Claire’s mum before we went on holiday. With the weather still playing ball I got to try out my drone and walk around the place naked all the time, plus it helped not wearing clothes for those sweaty dirty jobs .
We also go to visit Clover Spa in Birmingham for the second time, this time staying at the venue overnight, enroute to North Yorkshire.
Whilst in Yorkshire the weather was good again for us, with one day being exceptionally warm. The advantages of staying somewhere in the middle of nowhere meant you could be naked without offending anyone .
Let’s hope that 2023 gives us more opportunities to be naked, and to share that time with great friends. Happy 2023 to you all!!
Well 2021 was marginally better than 2020. Covid tried to mess things up again, but thankfully this year was slightly better. The weather was as to be expected, unpredictable and underwhelming.
That didn’t stop us from getting our kit off whenever the sun shone, and this year we got to visit more places than we have done before.
First opportunity to get naked outdoors was in May to see the bluebells in the woods. Luckily my mother in law owns a large amount of land and has a wood that is private so is fairly safe to strip off without offending anyone.
Other than trips up the club, or back garden naturism, the next time we properly got to strip off was at Nudefest in early July. The weather wasn’t particularly nice other than one day, apart from that it was particularly wet (especially when it came to dismantling the tent). You’d think July would be the best time to hold such an event.
We moved on from Somerset where Nudefest was held to a much sunnier South Wales, in fact it turned out to be the hottest week of the year. We had fantastic weather. It was the first time that we got to visit Tything Barn a rustic naturist campsite not far from Tenby in a place called Kilgetty. Its located by the banks of a tidal river, however you never got to see much of the river as its mainly mud banks and has a lagoon that is fed from the river. I must say it felt very strange swimming in the lagoon, with the soft mud between your toes when you touched the bottom. I tried not to walk in the water as you didn’t know what you were going to tred on. They had some Kayaks for visitors to use, so I made use of this and went for a paddle round the lagoon. The only downside was the blasted horseflies that kept landing on you. They are complete buggers as you often don’t know what is sucking your blood until its too late and then you have a nasty bite on your bits!
It wasn’t long before we got to go away again at the end of July to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We decided to visit Acorns Naturist retreat in North Devon. The weather, like last year, was not particularly great, and in fact couldn’t have been worse. We chose to camp when Storm Evert hit the UK. It was a good thing we took the inflatable tent with us, as I’m sure any other tent with poles would not have survived the night. The windbreaks certainly didn’t.
Despite the lousy weather this was our 2nd trip to this site and one that we will visit time and time again, we are just hoping that the weather improves in the future, 3rd time lucky in 2022?
The next trip away was not to be until September on our way to Ilkley in Yorkshire. Clover Spa in Birmingham was about half way there, so Claire thought it would be a good opportunity to extend our break and visit this spa that I have always wanted to try out. As it was September, we weren’t expecting the weather to be overly warm, but it would have been nice if the sun came out. Unfortunately for us most of the day it remained overcast, but it didn’t rain, which was a plus.
So that just about sums up our naturist year. Next year is looking quite busy with lots of concerts to attend, which will mean less opportunity to get naked around the country, but who knows……

What makes it all the better is the hot tub overlooking the views below.
We are staying in an old pump house that has been converted into the most luxurious of holiday accommodation. They have thought of everything here.
What a great way to start our holiday enroute to Yorkshire.
Claire wanted to extend our break away and at the same time breaking up the journey and suggested we visit the Naturist Spa in Birmingham.
It’s been a place I’ve always wanted to visit, and was great that Claire suggested it.
We booked the Ultimate Spa package which gave you full use of the facilities from 10am to 10pm, and 90 minutes of treatments.
The venue has a steam room, sauna, plunge pool, hot beds and an outside hot tub. The hot tub is very big and you can probably fit in 10 people!
The day we went it was ladies and couples weekend only, which was great, no single males allowed. Outside the garden has plenty of sun loungers, it’s a pity it wasn’t overly sunny when we visited. The gardens are not overlooked and are very well kept and picturesque.
For my 90 minute treatment I opted for a full body scrub followed by a Swedish massage. I must say I did feel very relaxed and felt myself wanting to drift off.
It’s a pity the hotel accommodation was full as we could have come and gone from our room all day. We did however find a Travelodge up the road.
We will definitely be coming back here again, maybe the next time we travel en route to destinations in the north.

May time is the best time to get out and about and view the woods in all its glory. The Forest floor comes alive in a sea of blue as the bluebells breakthrough and add a bit of colour to what would normally be a sea of broken twigs, branches and leaves.
We’re lucky that we have a private wood nearby where I can strip off and be at one with nature, without the threat of somebody coming along and taking offence.
It really is a sight to behold. Why don’t you do it too? Be at one with nature and embrace the beauty that is all around.
Well that was a first for me. During lockdown I haven’t been able to get out as much as I would like to, and with the gyms currently being closed, haven’t been able to get down there and burn off some of the excess weight I have put on over the past 12 months.
Now I’d seen that British Naturism were advertising a number of events on their website, and thought to myself, why not. I can’t get to the gym at the moment, I’m not paying my monthly fee, so for a fiver, I thought I’d give it a go.
I set my computer up so that it could mirror the screen on the big TV, so I could easily follow the instructor more. I didn’t realise the work out was going to be on Zoom until 10 minutes before the event, so wasn’t fully prepared.
When I synced it with the TV, the volume was ever so quite on the MacBook and was not coming through on the TV. I could barely hear the music, but could easily follow the instructor on the big screen. Maybe it was because I was sharing the screen that a setting had been triggered to reduce the volume (who know’s, but I’ll be more prepared next time).
Before I knew it the class had started. Think it was me and a handful of other blokes who had signed up to the class, didn’t see any other women there, which isn’t a surprise I suppose. One thing I was surprised at though was the amount of sweat pouring off me after completing the 45 minute exercise class.
The name of the class was GroovX Stix. It was an upbeat workout with the use of drumsticks or other similar utensils you could find round the house. I opted for the wooden spoons. I started off with my exercise mat on the floor, but soon realised this was going to be more of a hinderance than help, so pushed this out of the way. It was now just me, two wooden spoons and a rug protecting the floor.
Boy did the sweat pour off me, and probably for good reason. Working out naked and trying to film it really did highlight to me how much weight I’ve put on over the lockdown period. I am now 2 stone heavier from when I was at my lightest when we were members of Slimming World, and I didn’t like what I saw. The overhang on my belly is HUGE, and is not something I’m proud of.
Will I be doing the Naked WorkOut again? The jury is out on that one but I do know that exercise clothed or unclothed is now on the agenda, especially with the lighter nights on the horizon.
What do you do when it snows? You build a naked snowman of course, or build a snowman naked.
And when you’ve done that you do a naked snow angel.
I must say even though it’s only just above freezing, it’s very invigorating getting out there and enjoying the weather au naturel. You don’t feel the cold, although you might show it, if you know what I mean.
What’s stopping you from doing it? It’s liberating!!
Well 2020 was certainly a year to forget and fast forward through. So many plans and trips were cancelled because of Covid and even now at the end of 2020 it is still disrupting our lives.
We managed a few trips away in 2020, and a couple of firsts. We got to visit Studland beach for the first time in July, and thoroughly enjoyed that. We were also lucky to visit Acorns Naturist Retreat in North Devon and will definitely be back to visit again in 2021.

Well what can we say about this year, it’s certainly been memorable for all the wrong reasons. Let’s hope that 2021 is a lot better than 2020, it can’t be any worse!!!
Both myself and Claire would like to wish you all a wonderful, safe, Covid free Christmas ?
It was a spur of the moment thing , we were celebrating 4 years of being married and with lockdown we hadn’t really planned anything to go away. We were due to see Michael Buble in Bath but that got postponed until 2021.
So after the wonderful weather forecast I thought let’s book a naturist camping trip. So here we are at Acorns Naturist Retreat, except the weather is not as warm as Friday and there is more cloud than sun.
We left straight after work at 4:00pm and set off for Devon, only took us just over 3 hours to get here and traffic wasn’t that bad.
From what I have seen of the place it’s really nice cosy and friendly, and it’s away from everyone else down a little country lane. Leave your troubles and your clothes at the entrance.
Due to covid19 the sauna was closed however the hot tub was still open, unfortunately the button to start the bubbles was not working so we just sat in it to get warm, it was heated to 38 degrees. We didn’t try the pool out as the sun just wasn’t out long enough to warrant getting in.
There are two fields available to walk around which have had pathways cut into, quite nice seeing the wild flowers and mighty oak trees that give this place its name.
The old dairy shed is the place to go and have a meal, so long as you order in advance. I loved the rustic feel of it and that the light fittings were made from milking suction udder things!!
Would definitely come back here again, hopefully when the weather plays ball and it is warmer than the 19 degrees that we got.
The Place to be When You Have Nothing On!
It’s been a long time coming, but we have finally succumbed and booked a full on naturist holiday. Not just a naturist beach, but a place where you can walk around as nature intended anywhere, and no one bats an eyelid at you.
This holiday location is Vera Playa, on the southern end of Spain, where we have hired a two bed apartment through Airbnb. The apartment has access to a shared swimming pool which is nice and refreshing and is just a short walk from the beach, and the very relaxing Pirates Bar directly on the beach.
The feeling of total freedom is wonderful. You can wake up in the morning, walk downstairs to the pool for an early morning dip, and then relax drying off in the sun on the sun terrace.
And then walk down to the beach about 150 metres away without a stitch or care in the world , and then do a spot of people watching from the comfort of the Pirates Bar outside decking.
The sea temperature is also very inviting , although when we first arrived the sea itself wasn’t inviting as it was quite rough due to the storms they had experienced 24 hours before we arrived.
What a glorious morning, after the dampness of yesterday we have clear blue skies, so an opportunity for getting naked in nature….
Being out in the middle of nowhere gives you the opportunity to get naked without causing offence or upsetting the neighbours. You also have 360 views from here so can see and hear if anyone is approaching.
In fact it’s days like this that I just wish I could give up work and live free and naked from the stresses of everyday life. #livelifenaked
Almost 12 months to the day, we are back at Clover Spa in Birmingham. However this time we are staying at the hotel.
This time the weather played ball. Despite it forecast to be chilly, it turned out very nice.
We had a relaxing massage in the afternoon, I opted for a full Swedish massage, and Jel went for the bamboo massage. Both were very nice and made us both feel very tired afterwards.
